Dr. Craig Plahn


Dr. Craig Plahn grew up in St. Louis and graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1974. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State with a B.S. degree in Chemistry in 1978. Dr. Plahn went to Texas A & M to work on his masters in biochemistry and left there in 1979 to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City Dental School, where he graduated in 1983. He taught prosthedontics at UMKC’s Dental School for one year, starting private practice in 1984 in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Plahn feels very strongly about continuing education and attends both local and national courses.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Plahn, and his wife, Dr. Diana Plahn, grow and judge orchids. They have been American Orchid Society Judges for over 20 years. They have a terraced garden that has been on several local and national tours.They both enjoy traveling when possible and are big St. Louis Cardinals fans.

Dr. Diana Plahn graduatied from Lee’s Summit High School in Lee’s Summit, MO in 1975. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s School of Pharmacy in 1980, with a B.S. in pharmacy. Dr. Plahn graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s School of Dentistry in 1984. She attends local and national continuing education seminars for both pharmacy and dentistry. Dr. Diana’s hobbies are being an American Orchid Society Judge, gardening, birding, travel, reading, and needlework.
